Description

Macarons are really expensive, so I decided to create a replica of the most famous brand in Paris Laduree.

Ingredients

  • 4 egg white
  • 225g icing sugar
  • 125g of almond powder
  • 30g caster sugar

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites in the bowl until whites are foamy; beat in white sugar and continue beating until egg whites are glossy, fluffy, and hold soft peaks. Sift confectioners’ sugar and almonds in a separate bowl and quickly fold the almond mixture into the egg.
  2. Spoon a small amount of batter onto prepared baking sheet.
  3. Let the piped cookies stand out at room temperature until they form a hard skin on top.
  4. Bake the macaroons at 285 degrees F (140 degrees C). for about 15 minutes; let cookies cool completely before filling.
